Wishing all the readers a very Happy and Blessed Janmashtami!
Reading my stories brings peace, prosperity, success and joy to the readers. Sri Saibaba.
Shirdi Saibaba was a saint who lived between 1838 and 1918. He was a Godly person helping the people all the time. He lived in an old masjid, named it Dwarakamayi. He used to grind wheat daily. In fact he was grinding the sins, people believed.
Saibaba used to go to five houses daily for begging food, this was much benefitting the house holders. He shared the food with other people and animals like dogs and cats. He never objected them eating.
Saibaba liked lighting the lamps. For that he was getting oil from the village merchants.Once the merchants collectively refused to give oil. With out perturbed, he went to the masjid and to the surprise of all, lighted the lamps with water. The lamps brightly lighted the entire night. The merchants realised their folly and fell at Baba's feet for pardon.
Saibaba was very kind and compassionate. He used to take the suffering and diseases of the people on his body and cure them.Once a baby fell into the fire from the lap of her mother when she was helping her ironsmith husband. That time Baba was in the masjid miles away from the child and he immediately pushed his hand into the ever burning fire and saved the child. The child was safe and unhurt, but his hand burned. Similarly he took the disease of plague on his body and saved a boy.
Saibaba loved people of all religions and faiths and worked for their unity. He encouraged people to celebrate festivals like Ramnavami and Urs in his presece.
Saibaba was the Guru and Guide to people who sought his help and guidance. He helped them like a tortoise growing her babies simply by her glances. Saibaba always preached people to have firm faith in Guru and patience in practice.
Different people experienced Saibaba differently. The Hindus experienced Baba as their worshipping Deity. To a devotee of Sree Rama to his surprise, he appeared as Rama.
Megha was a devotee of Lord Shiva. To him Baba gave the experience of Shiva.
A lady devotee of Sree Krishna experienced Saibaba as Sree Krishna.
Saibaba saved devotees who constantly remembered him, from death and accidents.Students whom Baba blessed passed their exams and got jobs against the predictions of astrologers. Childless people with the blessings of Saibaba got children.
Saibaba used to distribute udhi, ash produced in the ever burning holy fire in the masjid.Udhi had many miraculous powers, cured many diseases, blind could see, lame could walk, dumb could speak etc. Saibaba always loved feeding people. He himself bought all the necessary cooking items and cooked both vegetarian and nonvegetarian food. The food he cooked was so delicious and satisfying.
Saibaba was knowing the past present and future of the people. Once when he saw two goats in a herd, he recognised them as brothers in their previous birth and cared them as they were two brothers known to him. Because of enemity they killed each other and born as goats in the next life. Baba saved a frog from snake. Both were men in their previous life and because of their enemity they were born as frog and snake. As promised in the previous life he saved the man who was born as frog. One had to pay for the debt, enemity and murder Saibaba used to preach.
Saibaba used to tell that He was the supreme Soul living in the hearts of one and all. He used to love the animals equally as humans. He used to feel the hunger and suffering of the animals. A sick tiger died at the holy feet of Baba, Sai liberated the tiger from
suffering.
Gopalarao Buti was a rich man from Nagpur and he built a big palace like building in Shirdi. At the center of main hall
he planned to install Muralidhar (Lord Krishna) statue. In the year 1918 Baba became sick and breathed last on 15th of October and his body was buried at the place where Krishna's statue was to be kept. From that day the big building became Samadhi Mandir of Saibaba and he Himself Muralidhar, Lord Krishna.
From then onwards Shirdi became a holy place like Kashi,Ayodhya,Dwaraka,Pandaripur,Puri and Tirumala etc and people regularly visiting the Holy Shrine. Saibaba's divine power still continues and people through out the world are experiencing with no difference of religion, faith, nationality etc.Chanting the Holy name of Saibaba attracts His blessings and guidance.Om Sai Sri
Sai JaiJai Sai.
