శ్రీసాయినాథాయనమః!

లేనిది ఉన్నటుల,ఉన్నది లేనటులగ ఇంద్రియములకు గోచరమగునది మాయయని విజ్ఞులు వివరిస్తుంటారు. మానుష నామరూపాలు తాత్కాలికములు, అందులకు మూలమైన చైతన్యము నిరంతరంగా వెలుగుతుంటుంది. కనులకు కనబడు మనుషులు వస్తువులు నిత్యమని, వారిని నడిపించే శక్తికెలాంటి అవసరము లేదని తలచుట మాయగ వారు బోధిస్తుంటారు. శ్రీసాయిసచ్చరిత్ర లోని 13వ అధ్యాయములో విష్ణుమాయను గూర్చి వ్యాఖ్యానించారు సాయిబాబా. తనకు ఇల్లూవాకిలి భార్యాబిడ్డలు ఇతర బాదరబందీ లేనప్పటికీ తాను ఎక్కడికీ కదలక పాత మజీదున యున్నప్పటికీ హరిమాయ తన్నావరించి బాధిస్తుందని. బ్రహ్మ ఇంద్రాది దేవతలను,నారదాది మహామునులు సయితం విష్ణుమాయ విడవలేదుగదా! ఇందులకు నివారణోపాయంగా మాయాముక్తి మార్గాన్ని దయతో బోధించారు బాబా. అదేమన నిరంతరం భజనజేసి హరిని ప్రసన్నుని జేసుకుంటే ఆ మాయపొర తొలగుతుందని.యోగులు తమ ప్రతిరూపమని శ్రీకృష్ణ భగవానులు గీతలో చెప్పియున్నారు. అదేసందర్భంలో మాయనుండి బయటపడుటకు ఓ నిగూఢసత్యాన్ని భక్తులకు తెలిపారు బాబా, ఎల్లప్పుడు సాయి సాయి యని స్మరించిన సప్తసముద్రముల మాయను దాటించెదనని. అనగా సాయినామస్మరణ, హరినామస్మరణ సమతుల్యమని చెప్పకనే చెప్పారు. అంటే సాయియే హరియని భావము. నామస్మరణము సులభము,నిత్యపూజాదుల షోడశోపచారముల ప్రయాసలేదు. ఇదేవిషయమునకు సంబంధించి 45వ అధ్యాయములోనూ చెప్పబడిన విషయమును పరిశీలింపగలము. కలియుగములో మోక్షమొందుటకు హరినామ లేక గురునామ స్మరణ మొక్కటే సులభమార్గమని నవనాథులు జనకమహారాజునకు బోధించిన ఏకనాథభాగవత సందేశము.కాని నాటి భాగవత పారాయణము ముగించిన కాకాసాహెబు దీక్షితునకు గురుభక్తి విషయమై సంశయమేర్పడింది. అందులకు అచటనున్న శ్యామా సమ్మతింపక వారి గురుభక్తి స్థిరమైనది సమాధిపిమ్మటకూడా సద్గురుసాయిదేవుల నిరంతర రక్షణ కొనసాగుతుందని నమ్మబలికినా, దీక్షితు సంతుష్టి చెందలేదు. కాని మరునాడు ఉదయాన ఓ అద్భుతం జరిగింది. ఆనందరావు పాఖాడే యనువాడు వారివద్దకువచ్చి తనకు స్వప్నసందేశం ద్వారా బాబా అశీసులు లభించాయని, సాయి నిత్యసత్యుడని తనకు కలిగిన కలలోని విశేషాలు వివరించాడు. దీక్షితు మరియు శ్యామా తృప్తిపడ్డారు. ఈసత్యాన్ని ధృవీకరించుటకై బాబా తన అత్యంత ప్రీతిపాత్రభక్తుడు శ్యామాకు శ్రీవిష్ణుసహస్రనామ పుస్తకము బహూకరించి చదివించారు. సంస్కృతభాషా పరిజ్ఞానమేమాత్రములేని శ్యామా బాబా అనుగ్రహముచే ఆగ్రంధము చదివి ఇతరులకు బోధింపగల పాండిత్యము సంపాదించాడు.మాయావిషయమై తలచినపుడు బాబాభక్తుడు బీవీ దేవ్ గారి అనుభవము జ్ఞప్తికివచ్చుచున్నది.తన ఇంటిలోని ఉద్యాపనవ్రత సమాప్తి భోజనానికి రావలసినదని బాబాను ఆహ్వానించాడు దేవ్. సన్యాసి వేషంతో మరిద్దరితో కలసి వచ్చి భోంచేసి వెళ్లారు బాబా. కాని అదేవేషంలో కొన్నిరోజులముందు చందాలకు వచ్చిన సన్యాసియని తలచాడుగాని బాబాయే అలావచ్చారని గుర్తించలేకపోయాడు దేవ్.అంతా సాయిలీల. శ్రీసాయిచరిత్ర 40వ అధ్యాయమున ఈవిషయములన్నియు రచయిత వివరించాడు. సోమనాథ్ శంకర్ దేశపాండే కొన్నిదినములు బాబాను భౌతికంగా సేవించిన ధన్యాత్ముడు. అతడు బాబా పాదాలలో విష్ణుమూర్తి దశావతార చిహ్నాలైన మత్స్య మరియు ధనుష్య రేఖలు స్పష్తంగా ఉండటం గమనించాడు. హరిమాయ లేక గురుమాయనుండి ముక్తిపొందాలంటే హరినామస్మరణ లేక గురునామస్మరణ ప్రస్తుతకాలానికి తరుణోపాయమనెడిది విషయ సారంశాము. భక్తులెల్లరు శ్రీసాయిచరిత్ర పారాయణముతోపాటు విష్ణుసహస్రనామస్తోత్ర పారాయణము చేసి సాయికృపకు పాత్రులగుదురు గాక! శిరిడీ సమాధిమందిరంలో కాకడ ఆరతి పిమ్మట బాబమూర్తికి మంగళస్నానం జరుగుసమయాన విష్ణుసహస్రనామ స్తోత్రము కొనసాగుతుంది. శ్రీసాయి కరుణాకిరణాలు అందరిపై ప్రసరించుగాక ! అందరికీ శుభమగుగాక ! ఓంసాయి శ్రీసాయి జైజై సాయి !

Vishnu Maya – A Devotional Reflection September 25, 2025 Sri Sainathaya Namaha! The wise often say that Maya is that which makes the non-existent appear real, and the real seem non-existent. Names and forms that we perceive through the senses are temporary, while the Consciousness that illumines them shines eternally. To think that the visible world alone is real, and that the Power which sustains it has no role, is itself the delusion called Maya. In the 13th chapter of the Sri Sai Satcharitra, Baba speaks about this Vishnu Maya. Although He had no house, no family, and never moved out of the old Masjid, He declared that even He was enveloped by Hari Maya. “Did not Vishnu Maya bind even Brahma, Indra, the gods, and the great sages like Narada?” Baba asked. Out of pure compassion, He also revealed the way to transcend Maya: “If one constantly remembers and sings the Name of Hari, the veil of Maya lifts.” This is the same truth Lord Krishna taught in the Gita to the yogis—revealing how to rise beyond illusion. Baba added a profound and subtle instruction: “If one always remembers ‘Sai, Sai,’ I shall help him cross the vast ocean of Maya.” Without directly saying it, Baba revealed that Sai Nama-smarana is equal to Hari Nama-smarana, for Sai and Hari are one. Nama-smarana is easy, requiring no elaborate rituals or sixteen-fold worship. In this same context, the 45th chapter also offers guidance: In Kali Yuga, the easiest path to liberation is the remembrance of Hari Nama or Guru Nama—as taught by the Navanathas to King Janaka through the Eknath Bhagavata. Yet Kakasaheb Dixit, after completing his Bhagavata reading, developed doubts about devotion to the Guru. Though Shama tried to reassure him, saying the Guru’s protection continues even beyond His physical form, Dixit remained unsatisfied. The next morning, a wonderful miracle occurred. A man named Anandrao Pakhade came and described a dream in which Baba had blessed him and revealed that Sai is the Eternal Truth. Hearing this, both Dixit and Shama felt completely reassured. To further establish this truth, Baba gifted Shama a copy of the Vishnu Sahasranama, asking him to read and teach it to others. Though Shama knew no Sanskrit, Baba’s grace made him proficient in reading and explaining that sacred text. Another beautiful incident related to Maya is the experience of B.V. Dev. He invited Baba to his home for a ceremonial meal. Baba came disguised as a sanyasi along with two others, ate, and left. Only later did Dev realize that this was the very same sanyasi who had come earlier seeking alms, and that it was Baba Himself in that form. Such are Sai’s divine plays—described in detail in the 40th chapter of the Satcharitra. There was also Somnath Shankar Deshpande, blessed to serve Baba physically for several days. He observed on Baba’s Feet the clear marks of the Matsya and Dhanus—the symbols of Lord Vishnu’s incarnations. The essence is simple and profound: To be freed from Hari Maya or Guru Maya, the easiest path in this age is the remembrance of Hari’s Name or the Guru’s Name. May all devotees practice the daily parayana of Sri Sai Satcharitra along with the Vishnu Sahasranama, and thus become worthy of Sai’s abundant grace! Even today, at Shirdi, after the Kakad Aarti, the Vishnu Sahasranama is chanted during the holy ritual bath offered to Baba. May the rays of Sri Sai’s compassion shine upon all! May auspiciousness fill every heart! Om Sai, Sri Sai, Jai Jai Sai!
