How a Jnani looks at the world?
Sri Sainathayanamah! Sree Ramanadevayanamah! Today is 145th Jayanti of Sri Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi.
How a Jnani(enlightened person) looks at the mind in its three states?
Bhagavan answers:For a Jnani there is no difference in the three wakeful, dream and deep sleep states; as the mind is dissloved and lost in the light of conciousness. For Jnani all these states are equally unreal. But the ajnani(unenlightened) person is unable to comprehend this, because for him the standard of reality is the waking state, where as for the Jnani the standard of reality is reality itself. The reality of pure consciousness is eternal by its nature and therefore subsists equally during what you call waking, dreaming and deep sleep. To him who is one with that reality there is neither the mind nor its three states and, therefore, neither introversion nor extroversion. His is the ever-waking state, because he is awake to the eternal Self; his is the ever-dreaming state, because to him the world is no better than a repeatedly presented dream phenomenon; his is the ever-sleeping state, because he is all times without the 'body-am-I' consciousness. May the great Masters ever shower their blessings on one and all!
