శ్రీసాయిసందేశామృతము అధ్యాయము 5. జగత్కళ్యాణకారకులు శ్రీసద్గురుసాయినాథులు! ఒక్కరోజు జరిగే వివాహమహోత్సవానికి వచ్చి లోకకళ్యాణార్ధమై శిరిడీలో శాస్వితంగా, కాలానికతీతంగా వెలుగొందుచున్నారు. నవవిధభక్తులకు సంకేతమన్నటుల చాందుభాయి పాటీలు తొమ్మిదిమైళ్ళు నడచినపిమ్మట మామిడిచెట్టు నీడలో నొక వింతఫకీరును దర్శించాడు. పాటీలు తప్పిపోయిన తన గుఱ్ఱముకై మిగుల చింతితుడు. ఫకీరు, ఒక్కమాటతోనే తప్పిన గుఱ్ఱపుజాడ తెలిపి వాని మనసుకు శాంతిని సమకూర్చాడు. నిలకడలేని అశ్వం చంచలమైన మనసుకు సంకేతం. సద్గురు సన్నిధిలో శాంతిపొందెడి మనసులాగా, దారితప్పిన గుఱ్ఱాన్ని తిరిగి పొందాడు పాటీలు.శాంతించిన మనసుకు గురుకృపయనెడి చిలుము లభించింది. ఆచిలుము వెలిగించే క్రియలో నీరు నిప్పుల సృష్టి జూసిన పాటీలు మిగుల చకితుడై ఫకీరుశక్తికి వసుడైనాడు. పంచభూతాలు సైతం సద్గురు ఆజ్ఞను పాటించవలసినదే! పెండ్లివారితో వచ్చి ఖండోబాగుడివద్ద బండిదిగుచున్న ఫకీరును, అప్రయత్నంగా "సాయి"పిలుపుతో పూజారి ఆహ్వానించుట దైవనిర్ణయంగా తలచవచ్చును.పిచ్చివానిగా గ్రామస్తులు తలచిన సాయిలోని దైవాన్ని దేవీదాసు,జానకీదాసు.గంగాగీరు,ఆనందనాథు మున్నగు సాధుపుంగవులు ప్రథమంలోనే గుర్తించి కీర్తించారు. బంజరునేలను బాగుజేసి పూలవనంగా మార్చారు, సద్గురు స్పర్శచే చింతల చిత్తం శాంతి సంతరించుకొన్నట్లు. సాయి పెంచిన ఆ సుందరవనభూమియే సమాధిమందిరనిర్మాణ స్థలంగా మారడం సాయిసంకల్పమేమో? సద్గురుసేవలో, వారి పాదుకలు పూజ ముఖ్యాంశము.గురునిభారాన్ని వారి పాదాలు మోస్తాయి, పాదాల బరువును పాదుకలు భరిస్తాయి! అందుకేనేమో ఆ పాదుకలను భగవంతుని పాదుకలన్నారు సాయి, గురుస్థానమువద్ద ప్రతిష్టించువేళ. దత్తసాంప్రదాయంలో గురుపాదుకలకు విశిష్ట స్థానముంటుంది. దత్తావతార శ్రీఅక్కల్కోట స్వామిసమర్ధ మరొకరూపమే సద్గురుసాయి. అందులకే కాబోలు అక్కల్కోట వెళ్లదలచిన స్వామి సమర్ధ భక్తుడు భాయి కృషాజీ అప్రయత్నంగా మార్గమధ్యంలో శిరిడీవెళ్లి సాయిని దర్శించి, స్వామిసమర్ధ మరియు సాయిసమర్ధ ఏకరూపులనే యనుభవాన్ని పొంది, అక్కల్కోట ప్రయాణముమాని బాబా సంకల్పమన్నటుల గురుస్థానంలో పాదుకలు స్థాపన జరిపించాడు. దైవమె తాముగావచ్చినా,సామాన్యులకా విషయం మరుగుపరచుటకే కుస్తీపోటీలో తంబోలీతో ఓడిపోయారు. అదేవిధంగా రహతాలోని జౌహర్ అలీని గురునిగా స్వీకరించి శిష్యరికం జేశారు బాబా! కాని, వెలిగేసూర్యుణ్ణీ మేఘమాపలేనివిధంగా సాయి శక్తి లోక వ్యాపకారంభమైనది. సంతానహీనుడు నానాసాహెబు దెంగలేకు బాబాసిసులచే పుత్రసంతానం కలిగింది. శిరిడీలో వ్యాపారులు నూనెతిరస్కరించినపుడు, నిరాశచెందక నీళ్లతో రాత్రల్లా దివ్వెలు వెలిగించారు సాయిబాబా. ప్రజల కర్మలనే మార్చగలిగే సద్గురునికి ప్రకృతిధర్మాల నియంత్రిచడ మేమంత ఘనము. కాని నీళ్ల దీపాల మహిమతో సాయిశక్తి సామాన్యులవరకు వ్యాపకమైనది. ఈ అధ్యాయములో కొన్ని ముఖ్యమైన ఆరంభ సాయిలీలలు ప్రస్తావించడమైనది. పోయిన గుఱ్ఱమును పాటీలుకు అప్పగించుట; నీరు నిప్పు సృష్టించి చిలుము వెలిగించుట, దెంగలేకు పుత్రసంతానం ప్రసాదించుట, నీళ్లతో దీపాలు వెలిగించుట మున్నగు అద్భుత మహిమలు ఇచట వివరించడమైనది. గీతలో శ్రీకృష్ణభగవానుడు తన విభూతులకు,మహాత్మ్యములకు అంతులేదని అర్జునునికి బోధించాడు. అలాగే సాయి లీలల కంతులేదు. అనగా సాయియే దైవమనే విషయాన్ని ఈ ఆధ్యాయ సందేశంగా గ్రహింపగలము. " ఈ జగత్తును నడిపించువాడను,సూత్రధారిని నేనే " యని సాయి చెప్పిన వాక్యమిచట స్మరణీయము.

Merry Christmas to all the readers! Śrī Sāyināthāya Namah. With rays of divine grace, Sai Baba illumines the hearts of His devotees, filling them with light and awakening inner consciousness. Let us walk in the fragrance of His sacred teachings and make our lives truly blessed. Śrī Sai Sandeshamṛitam – Chapter 5 “The World-Redeeming Master, Sadguru Sainath” For a wedding that lasts but a single day, many gather and celebrate. Yet for the welfare of all creation, Sai Baba came to Shirdi and chose to reside there eternally—radiant, timeless, and ever-compassionate. As though symbolizing the nine forms of devotion, Chandubhai Patel once walked nine miles and, resting under a mango tree, beheld a mysterious Fakir. Distraught at the loss of his horse, he was overwhelmed with anxiety. With a single assuring word, the Fakir revealed the horse’s whereabouts and restored peace to Patel’s heart. The restless horse symbolized the wandering human mind. Just as the horse was reclaimed, so too the mind finds rest only in the sanctuary of the Guru’s presence. And from that peace arises the chilum, the flame of awakening and the fire of wisdom, kindled by the Guru’s grace. When Patel witnessed water and fire turning into burning chilum in the Fakir’s hands, he was stunned—overawed by Baba’s inexplicable power. Even the five elements themselves bow to the command of the Sadguru! On the day Baba approached Khandoba’s temple along with the wedding party, the priest involuntarily addressed Him as “Welcome Sai.” Such a spontaneous divine utterance can only be considered God’s own decree. Villagers mistook Baba for a wandering madman, but saints like Devidas, Janakidas, Gangagir, and Anandnath immediately recognized the divinity hidden in Him. Like a barren field transformed into a garden, minds tormented by worldly worries blossomed into peace with Sai’s touch. The very grove Baba nurtured later became the sacred site of His Samadhi—surely, the unfolding of Sai’s divine will. In the Guru’s worship, the Padukas (sacred sandals) hold a central place. The Guru bears the weight of the world, and His Padukas carry the imprint of His feet. Thus did Baba instruct that these Padukas be consecrated at Gurusthan, honoring the ancient Dattātreya tradition in which the Padukas are revered as divine. Bhāi Krishnaji, a devotee journeying to Akkalkot to worship Swami Samarth, was, by Sai’s unseen guidance, brought instead to Shirdi. There he realized that Swami Samarth and Sainath were one and the same. Abandoning his original plan, he installed the Padukas at the Guru’s command—another miracle woven into Sai’s mysterious ways. Though Himself divine, Baba hid His glory. He once allowed Himself to lose a wrestling match to a humble Tamboli, merely to conceal His identity. In Rahata too, He accepted the saintly Jawhar Ali as His Guru, outwardly living as a disciple. Yet, like the sun that cannot be veiled by passing clouds, Sai’s power soon radiated across the world. Nana Saheb Dengale, who had no offspring, was blessed with a son through Baba’s grace. When the oil merchants in Shirdi refused to give Baba oil for lamps, He kindled them throughout the night using only water—demonstrating that to the Sadguru who transforms destinies, even the laws of nature bend in obedience. Through this miracle, His divine power spread among the common folk. This chapter recounts several of Sai’s early leelas: • restoring Patel’s lost horse, • lighting the chilum by bringing water and fire , • granting offspring to Dengale, • lighting lamps with water, and many other wondrous acts. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna: “There is no end to My divine glories.” So too, Sai’s leelas are limitless. This chapter gently conveys the truth that Sai Himself is the Divine, the unseen director of the cosmic play. As Baba once declared: “I am the One who governs this universe. I am the thread that holds all together.” May the rays of Sai’s compassion shine upon all! May all be blessed! Om Sai, Śrī Sai, Jai Jai Sai!
