శ్రీసాయిసందేశామృతము 45 (Nectar of Sri Sai's message 45)

శ్రీసాయినాథాయనమః !

సమర్ధసద్గురు సాయినాథులు ఆత్మస్వరూపులు , పరమాత్మస్వరూపులు . ఆత్మ మరణరహితము, బాబా మరణరహితులు ! మహాసమాధికి ముందట సాయి దేహసంచారులు , పిదప ఆత్మసంచారులు, సర్వవ్యాపకులు . సమాధి యనంతరము వారిలీలలు యదావిధి కొనసాగటం భక్తులయనుభవ సత్యం . సాయినాథులపట్ల అపరిమిత ప్రేమయే సాధనారహస్యము. భక్తులచే సద్గ్రంథపఠనము జేయించెడివారు బాబా . సమాధియనంతరం భక్తులు పారాయణ కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు . ఒకరోజు ఉదయం బొంబాయి చౌపటిలోని కాకామహాజని యింట్లో కాకాసాహెబు దీక్షితు ఏకనాథభాగవతము చదువుచున్నాడు . ఆదిభక్తిప్రధానమైన ఘటన . అందు నవనాథులు భాగవతధర్మసూత్రాలను జనకమహారాజునకు వివరిస్తున్నారు . నాటి పారాయణసారాంశమేమన హరినామ గురునామ స్మరణలే కలియుగమోక్షసాధనలు . నాటి పారాయణానంతరము, నవనాథులు జూపిన భక్తి సామాన్యులకతిదుర్లభముగా దలచి దీక్షితు మిగుల నిరుత్సాహపడ్డాడు . బాబాలాంటి సద్గురుభక్తులు భక్తివిషయంలో సందేహించుటేలయని పక్కనున్న శ్యామా వ్యాఖ్యానించాడు . కాని దీక్షితు వ్యాకులమనసు కుదుటబడలేదు . ఆశ్చర్యంగా ఇందులకు సమాధానం మరునాడు ఆనందరావు పాఖాడే యనుభక్తుని రాకతో తీరినది . పాఖాడే తనస్వప్నవృత్తాంతం వివరించాడు . నీటమునిగిన బాబాపాదాలను పాఖాడే చూస్తున్నాడు . సమీపానున్న శ్యామాచెప్పుటచే బయటకుతీసిన పాదాల యాతడు భక్తితోనమస్కరించి సాయి ఆశీసులనందాడు. బాబాచెప్పుటచే శ్యామాచేసినమేలుకు కృతజ్ఞతగా పట్టుపంచె తెచ్చాడు పాఖాడే. చీటీఎన్నిక ప్రకారం శ్యామా ధోవతి స్వీకరించాడు . దీక్షితు సందేహం సాయి సంకల్పమే , శ్యామాకు బహుమతి సాయికృపయే ! సమాధికి ముందువలె భక్తుల పట్ల సాయి ప్రేమానురాగాలు ఇప్పటికి కొనసాగుతున్నాయనేది సాయిసందేశంగా గ్రహింపగలము. భక్తులపిలుపుకు ఓ అంటే ఓ అంటున్నారు సర్వజ్ఞులు , నిత్యసత్యులు సద్గురుసాయినాథులు! శ్రీసాయికరుణాకిరణాలు అందరిపై ప్రసరించుగాక ! అందరికి శుభమగుగాక ! ఓంసాయి శ్రీసాయి జైజైసాయి !

Sai Baba of Shirdi, the all-powerful Sadguru, is the very embodiment of the individual Self and the Supreme Self. The Self is deathless — and so is Baba. Before the Mahasamadhi, Sai moved about in a physical body; after it, He moves as Spirit — all-pervading, omnipresent. That His divine play continues even after the Samadhi is a living truth in the experience of devotees. Boundless love for Sainath — this alone is the secret of spiritual practice. Baba would have devotees read sacred texts; and even after His Samadhi, the recitations continue unbroken. One morning, at Kakasaheb Dixit’s residence near Chowpatty in Bombay, Dixit was reading the Eknath Bhagavata. The passage that day was steeped in primordial devotion: the Nine Nath sages were expounding the principles of Bhagavata Dharma to King Janaka. The essence of that day’s reading was this: in the age of Kali, remembrance of the Lord’s Name and remembrance of the Guru’s Name are the true paths to liberation. Yet, after the recitation, Dixit grew despondent. Reflecting upon the exalted devotion shown by the Nine Nathas, he felt such devotion was rare and nearly unattainable for ordinary seekers. Shama, who was beside him, remarked, “How can devotees of a Sadguru like Baba entertain doubt in matters of devotion?” Still, Dixit’s troubled heart found no peace. Strangely enough, the answer came the very next day with the arrival of a devotee named Anandrao Pakhade. Pakhade narrated a dream: He beheld Baba’s feet submerged in water. At Shama’s urging, the sacred feet were lifted out; Pakhade bowed in deep reverence and received Sai’s blessings. In gratitude for Shama’s help — as Baba had instructed — Pakhade brought a silken cloth as an offering. By drawing lots, Shama accepted the dhoti. Dixit’s doubt was Sai’s own divine will; the gift to Shama was Sai’s grace. Thus we understand the message: just as before the Samadhi, Sai’s love and tender concern for His devotees continue even now. To the call of devotees, the Omniscient, Eternal Truth — Sadguru Sainath — still responds, “Yes, I am here.” May the compassionate rays of Sri Sai shine upon all. May auspiciousness befall everyone. Om Sai, Sri Sai, Jai Jai Sai!
