శ్రీసాయినాథాయనమః !

అధ్యాయము 48. సాయిబాబా శ్రీహరివలె భక్తవత్సలుడు . ఇరువురు తమభక్తులకు అన్యాయం జరిగితే సహింపలేని కరుణామయులు . ఈఅధ్యాయంలో ఈవిషయం మిగుల స్పష్టంగా తెలియగలదు. షేవడే యనువాడు అక్కల్కోటలో న్యాయశాస్త్ర విద్యార్థి, సాయిని నమ్మినవాడు . బాబా దయతో పరీక్షలో తప్పక విజయంపొందగలనని విశ్వసించాడు . కాని వానినమ్మకాన్ని, సాయిని అవహేళనజేసాడు తోటి విద్యార్థి సపత్నేకర్ . ఇదే అతనుజేసిన అనాలోచిత అపచారం . పదేండ్లపాటు అక్కల్కోటలో న్యాయవాదిగా కొనసాగినపిమ్మట యాతని భార్యాపుత్రులిరువురు మరణింప మిగుల వికలమనస్కుడయ్యాడు . వేదాంతం చదివినా పుణ్యస్థలాల దర్శించినా వాని అశాంతి తొలగలేదు . ఆసమయాన పూర్వ మిత్రుడు షేవడే, బాబాపై వాని విశ్వాసం గుర్తుకొచ్చి తన సోదరునితో కూడి సాయిని దర్శింప, బాబా మిగుల కోపించి వానిని తిరస్కరించారు . సంవత్సరకాలం అశాంతికి లోనై కాశివెళ్లదలచిన సమయాన వానిభార్యకు బాబా స్వప్నదర్శనమివ్వ, కలను శుభసూచకంగా తలచి మారిన మనసుతో వారిరువురు సాయిని దర్శించారు . మిగులభక్తిశ్రధ్ధలతో సాయిని సేవించిన పిదప విచిత్రంగా భార్య ఒంటినొప్పులు మాయమయ్యాయి . ముందు తృణీకరించినా ఆపై సపత్నేకర్ పై కరుణజూపి ఆశీర్వదించారు సాయి . ఆతని పూర్వకథనంతను దగ్గరున్న గొల్లస్త్రీకి వివరించారు సర్వజ్ఞులు సాయినాథులు . తనతప్పును గ్రహించిన సపత్నేకర్ కు బాబాపై భక్తిశ్రద్ధలినుమడించాయి . వానికి టెంకాయనిచ్చి దీవించారు సాయి. బాబాదయతో సంవత్సరంలోపునే పుత్రుడుకలుగ కృతజ్ఞతతో బాబాను దర్శించి ప్రణమిల్లాడు సపత్నేకర్ . సాయిని నమ్మినభక్తుల నవహేళనజేయరాదను సందేశాన్ని ప్రస్తుత కథబోధిస్తుంది. సాయిజూస్తున్నారు ,సాయి వింటున్నారు, తస్మాత్ జాగ్రత జాగ్రత జాగ్రత ! శ్రీసాయికరుణాకిరణాలు అందరిపై ప్రసరించుగాక ! అందరికి శుభమగుగాక ! ఓంసాయి శ్రీసాయి జైజైసాయి !

🌿 Chapter 48 – Poetic English Translation 🌿 Sai Baba, like Sri Hari, is tender toward His devotees. Both are compassion embodied— unable to bear injustice done to those who trust in them. This sacred truth shines clearly in this chapter. There was a man named Shevade, a student of law in Akkalkot, firm in his faith in Sai. With unwavering confidence he declared that by Baba’s grace he would surely pass his examinations. But his fellow student, Sapatnekar, mocked both his faith and his Master. That careless ridicule— that insult toward a devotee— became the seed of his suffering. Years passed. Sapatnekar prospered as a lawyer for nearly a decade. Yet fate turned— his wife and son passed away, and his heart fell into unbearable grief. He read Vedanta. He visited holy shrines. But nowhere did he find peace. Then memory stirred— he recalled Shevade’s faith in Sai. With his brother he journeyed to Shirdi, hoping for solace. But Baba, outwardly stern, rejected him in anger. For a full year he wandered in restlessness. When at last he resolved to leave for Kashi, Sai appeared in his wife’s dream— a silent summons of grace. Taking it as a blessed sign, they returned to Shirdi— this time with humility in their hearts. They served Baba with deep devotion. And wondrously, his wife’s bodily pains vanished. The One who had once turned him away now showered compassion upon him. Before a simple cowherd woman nearby, Sai narrated Sapatnekar’s entire past— for He is the Knower of all hearts. Realizing his fault, Sapatnekar’s heart melted. Faith blossomed where doubt once lived. Baba placed a coconut in his hands— a token of blessing, a promise sealed in grace. Within a year, a son was born to him. Overwhelmed with gratitude, he returned to bow at Baba’s feet. Thus this sacred tale teaches: Never mock the faith of a devotee. Sai sees. Sai hears. Therefore— Be alert. Be alert. Be ever alert. May the rays of Sri Sai’s compassion shine upon all. May auspiciousness bless everyone. Om Sai, Sri Sai, Jai Jai Sai.
